The Western Cape Province of South Africa is one of the continent’s best destinations for luxury. Base yourself in Cape Town, perfect for enjoying a cable car journey Table Mountain, and trips to Kirstenbosch Garden and Cape Point. The V&A Waterfront has some amazing hotels and places to eat and drink. The Winelands are do-able as a day trip from Cape Town, but you may want to stay a night or more at Franschhoek, which is simply a paradise. There are numerous vineyards in the area – visit Haute Carbriere to see a sabrege, the opening of a bottle of bubbles with a sabre, and book a day tour of wineries to experience fantastic tasting sessions.
Madagascar is sometimes referred to as a separate continent – it has unique wildlife, flora, and is different from everywhere else on earth. If you like to mix your luxury holidays with a unique destination, then Madagascar is the place to go.
