What to Do in Ghana Africa

The Ghanian coast has forbidding slave castles, and Accra, the capital, has numerous museums, restaurants and great beaches. Although the coast forms an obvious route, there is much to see inland. Ghana has some excellent national parks, including Kakum National Park, which is based in a forest and has canopy bridges. Lake Voltan is the largest man-made lake in the world and has some excellent wildlife – you can arrange an overnight trip here from Accra.

Although Ghana has an international airport, the most convenient major hub may be Lagos in Nigeria. Ghana is also the major overland route to Burkina Faso.
